LUBA
LUKOVA is an internationally recognized artist and designer working
in New York. Originally from Bulgaria, she graduated from the Academy
of Fine Arts in Sofia. Her posters are exhibited around the world
and are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art,
New York; The Library of Congress, Washington, DC; and Bibliotheque
Nationale de France among others. Her distinctive graphic art has
been published in The New York Times, Time, numerous national magazines
and books. Lukova's work has won many awards including, most recently:
2001 Prix Savignac/World's Most Memorable Poster at the International
Poster Salon in Paris, France, and a Gold Medal at the International
Poster Biennale in Mexico. In July 2003 a solo exhibition of her
work will be on display at DDD Gallery in Osaka, Japan.
